Corra Foundation Henry Duncan Grants
Description: This years' funding will support organisations working alongside children and young people (aged 6-26 years) experiencing inequality. The theme for this year was developed following a period of engagement with children and young people, and two key priority areas were identified: organisations that are supporting children and young people to shape their own lives; organisations that are supporting children and young people to develop skills for the future.
Maximum: Organisations can apply for up to £40,000 across five years (£8,000 per year) in unrestricted funding.

Grants to Improve the Educational Outcomes & Life Chances of Young Carers & Care Experienced Young People (UK)
Description: The British and Foreign Schools Society is inviting proposals to its grant programme to improve the educational outcomes and life chances of Young Carers or Care Experienced Young People under the age of 25 in the UK.
Criteria: Grants of between £30,000 and £100,000 (maximum £30,000 per year for multiyear projects lasting up to five years) will support schools, academies, colleges and registered charities in the UK to help young people to attend and engage in mainstream school life, access further education, employment or training opportunities, and to improve support for them to remain engaged with these opportunities. The Society is also keen to receive applications for approaches that seek to directly address the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on these vulnerable young people.

Criteria: Schools may also apply for help towards school trips or outings for eligible pupils. In exceptional cases, where personal circumstances make boarding necessary, school boarding fees may qualify for a grant.

Description: Support is available for groups and organisations through the United Kingdom that support young people challenged by abuse and addiction, young carers, and those suffering from homelessness. The 7Stars Foundation is offering grants of up to £2,500 for groups to support young people (aged 16 and under) challenged by abuse and addiction, young carers, and those suffering from homelessness or lack access to a safe space. Funding is intended to help young people who lack opportunities to cope with unfair situations and achieve their potential.
Criteria: UK-based organisations with an annual turnover of less than £1.5 million can apply for funding for projects that:

Preference will be given to projects piloting new approaches where the outcomes will be disseminated to a wider audience.

This includes, but is not limited to, members of the Royal Society of Chemistry, member-led groups, researchers in academia or industry, museums, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, arts groups and libraries. Previous recipients of funding have included projects related to gender, disability, socio-economic background, language, BAME scientists and the LGBT+ community. These have been delivered via initiatives such as data collection and analysis, workshops, conferences and hackathons.

Cycle Grants for Primary Schools
Description: Primary Schools in Scotland can apply for grants of up to £25,000 to improve their cycling facilities and opportunities for pupils to travel to school by bike. The grants are being made available through the Cycling Scotland - Schools Fund.
Criteria: Local Authorities may apply on behalf of schools. To apply, Primary schools need to register their interest and discuss their requirements with a Cycling Scotland Development Officer.

The Youth Fund supports organisations whose main purpose is about helping young people who face complex transitions to adulthood.
Criteria: The Foundation is looking to support organisations to: sustain, grow or prepare to grow the organisation’s impact.; improve, consolidate and spread practices which empower young people to shape their lives and lead change (sometimes called asset-based approaches); support and champion people with lived experience in the leadership and operational delivery of this work, particularly people who are most affected by systemic oppression and or discrimination.
Maximum: £150,000 over three years

The funding is being made available through the Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Arts-based Learning Fund.
The Foundation are particularly interested in applications with a focus on the following areas:

Description: Individuals or small groups or organisations in the UK who have a novel technical idea which they want to try out can apply for grants of between £250 and £3,000. Schools and groups of school children can also apply as long as the idea is being technically inventive and novel and, if it worked, delivering either an environmental or social benefit. The fund has been set up in memory of Peter Williams by his family. Peter spent his life generating a diversity of technical ideas and experimenting to see if they might work. The process always involved others and was always part of the fun. Some of his ideas worked and some of them didn’t but they all left the world a better and more interesting place. The fund is being run in that spirit of imagination, potential impact and fun.
Criteria: The fund is looking for ideas that; are based on a technical idea or innovation, could deliver a social or environmental benefit or are intriguing, inventive and have an element of fun.
Minimum: £250
Maximum: £3,000
Closing Date: Applicants will be informed within 4 weeks of submission if their application has been successful.

The Rank Foundation – Pebble Grants Programme
Description: Charities and churches can apply for funding of capital projects or for a one-off short term activity, such as an annual respite break or holiday for disadvantaged young people.
