Funding For Conservation and Digitisation of Jewish Archive and Library Collections
Description: Charitable and not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding to protect, preserve, and enable better access to Jewish archival and library collections in Europe. The Rothschild Foundation is offering several grants to charitable organisations to undertake conservation, preservation, and digitisation projects relating to Jewish archival and library collections across Europe. The Archives and Libraries programme consists of several grants that will enable organisations to protect and preserve Jewish archival and library material, increase access to documents that will enhance future academic research in European Jewish history and culture, and encourage people to engage with communal documentary heritage. The following grants are available:
Closing Date: Language grants are for up to £2,000 and applications should be submitted by the end of June 2022.

Description: The Live Literature Programme is provided by the Scottish Book Trust. The aim of the programme is to inspire local communities to read and write for pleasure. The Programme works by the applicant contacting an author from the Live Literature Author Directory to deliver an event, and the Trust will pay half the set author fee plus expenses. Events can take place in person or remotely.
Criteria: Applications are accepted from not-for-profit organisations based in any part of Scotland, including: Schools, Libraries, Community groups, Arts organisations, Local Festivals, Reading/writing groups, Hospitals, Prisons and Organisations working with adults or children with disabilities. Applications from ASN settings and schools supporting vulnerable children and the children of key workers are welcome. Organisations can apply more than once, regardless of previous outcomes, provided that they are not already waiting for a Live Literature funding decision. Applicants must be intending to work with an author listed on the Live Literature Authority Directory. Organisations must pay a set contribution of £75 plus VAT per author session. Live Literature events must take place before 31 March 2023.

Closing Date: Midday 29th August 2022. Applications will be reviewed by a panel, which meets quarterly. Applicants will be advised of the result of their application within two weeks. Applications received after a deadline will automatically be included in the next panel meeting. Final deadline midday 21 November 2022.

Description: Creative Scotland has launched the latest round of their Small Grants for Traditional Arts fund to provide support for traditional artists and organisations to create, perform, tour and showcase their work. The Fund, managed by Fèisean nan Gàidheal, will provide grants of up to £1,000 for organisations and individuals involved in the Scottish Traditional Arts including dance, music and storytelling.
Criteria: The £36,500 fund can also support professional development and learning projects.

Grants to Help Museums Become More Resilient
Description: Museum Galleries Scotland’s Museum Development Fund will provide funding for activities that produce positive outcomes for collections, audiences, workforce and sustainability. Projects should focus on: developing digital capacity; re-engaging with communities; workforce capacity and resilience; building resilience; responding to the climate emergency.
Criteria: Organisations in Scotland that are running accredited Museums can apply for grants of between £15,000 and £50,000 for projects that will help them to become more resilient. Organisations that care for Recognised Collections can apply for up to £60,000.

They will continue to consider applications for music education projects for children and young people, but our preferred projects this year will focus on adults and whole communities.

This could be anything from 1-on-1 time with a mentor to structured online courses. Groups of six members or less can also apply.

The Record & Release strand of funding from Help Musicians offers a bespoke package of funding and expert advice, including wellbeing and development services, to support solo artists, composers, group members, songwriters, producers or multidisciplinary artists aged 18 and over with no significant backing.
Criteria: Grants of up to £3,000 will fund the cost of recording and releasing a new body of work by music creators across the UK who are controlling one or more aspects of their career (e.g., self-managing, self-releasing, self-producing). Costs that could be supported include studio hire, merchandise, PR and marketing, and software. In addition to the funding successful applicants will also receive:
· one-to-one business advice sessions tailored to the musician's needs and delivered via experienced music industry professionals, as coordinated by ThinkMusic
· one-to-one health consultation with British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM) professionals, covering all aspects of a musician’s health, including physical and mental health needs and specialist referrals where required

Description: The AHF can provide grants to help with assessing the viability of a project, or to help fund development costs for historic building related regeneration projects based in Scotland. Project Viability Grants (PVG) are to fund studies to look at potential uses for a building and at its current condition, and usually produce a Viability Report to a standard template. Successful completion of this will be used to judge whether applicants can then apply for the AHF’s Project Development Grant funding, and can be used to secure further funding elsewhere.
Criteria: Unincorporated organisations that are intending to incorporate (for Project Viability Grants only), SCIOs, Charitable Companies Limited by Guarantee, Charitable Community Benefit Societies, Community Benefit Societies, not-for-private-profit Companies Limited by Guarantee and Community Interest Companies (CICs) Limited by Guarantee may apply. To qualify, an organisation must have established that the end use of the project is likely to be viable and have decided to take the project forward.

Description: Through the YMI CPD Fund 2021, Creative Scotland will provide grants which help people delivering youth music develop their skills and confidence, and to help the youth music sector develop, strengthen and become more sustainable. Activities might include short-term or one-off training courses, conferences, master-classes, mentoring or private tuition, and using new technology in creative ways. In light of Covid-19, applications for projects which deliver online courses or tuition packages are welcome.
Criteria: Funding is available to individuals, organisations and networks who work outside school settings to undertake training and continuing professional development (CPD) that will strengthen youth music in Scotland for the benefit of young people.
