Are you a freelance educator/engagement worker looking for a new project? We’re looking for to coordinate and deliver a pilot programme to build relationships with local primary schools and co-develop new self-led schools’ resources for Benmore Botanic Garden.

Responsibilities:

The freelance schools’ project coordinator will encourage more school visits to Benmore by:

  • Organising and delivering four classroom-based workshops in local schools and learning settings
  • Co-creating a self-led schools’ resource with local primary school pupils and teachers (text only), and piloting this new resource with two schools
  • Organising and delivering a free familiarisation event for local teachers
  • Writing an end-of-project report

Requirements:

We’re looking for someone who can evidence past/current experience working with schools and/or communities. Freelancers with local connections are of particular interest. The successful candidate will be able to self-organise and be an excellent communicator.

Hours: 80 hours from April to October 2024 (with extension opportunities if further funding is secured)
