Employee/Volunteer Assistance Programme – a new service for Argyll and Bute

It is now increasingly common for larger organisations to offer, as part of their benefits package, some form of employee or volunteer assistance programme. This usually takes the form of a helpline where employees and volunteers can get free advice on matters such as finance, legal issues, consumer advice or more personal matters such as counselling or support with subjects like addiction or mental health issues.

Unfortunately, this type of service is costly and way beyond the means and finances of most Third Sector organisations, most of whom are operating on tiny budgets and staffed mainly by volunteers.

However, here at Argyll and Bute TSI, we believe that this sort of programme should be available for all our dedicated Third Sector workers and volunteers and so have partnered up with Spectrum Life, one of the leaders in employee assistance programmes.

This service is now available FREE to all of our member organisations and their employees and volunteers, and includes access to the following services:

  • Mental Wellbeing Support
  • Financial Assistance
  • Life Coaching
  • Career Counselling
  • Consumer Advice
  • Mediation
  • Support for Non-Nationals and Families
  • Legal Assistance
  • Support for Depression, Anxiety & Stress
  • Support with Grief & Bereavement
  • Support with Addictions
  • Support with Relationship & Marital Problems
  • Support with Work Stress & Work-life Balance Issues

In addition, it also offers a large selection of well-being plans that can help in the following areas:

  • Fitness
  • Nutrition
  • Well Being
  • A Digital Gym
  • Self Guided Meditation
  • Podcasts on a range of topics

To gain access to these amazing benefits, you simply need to register as a member of the TSI on our website. Membership of the TSI is free to community groups in Argyll and Bute. This link will log you into the members area where you will find details on how to access the service. Your organisation will only need to register once and then you can distribute the assistance programme details to your staff and volunteer teams.

All information is held securely and confidentially and Spectrum Life is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
