SSEN Transmission are recruiting members to join the Argyll Local Fund Panel, which will make decisions on applications to SSEN Transmission’s local community benefit funds within Argyll.
The panel will initially focus on the Argyll and Kintyre 275kV Local Fund, which is expected to launch later in 2026 following extensive community and stakeholder engagement. This fund will make £3,268,000 available to communities over a five-year period.
The panel will also play a role in awarding future SSEN Transmission local community benefit funds across the Argyll and Bute local authority area.
This is an opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in their local communities to help ensure funding is directed towards projects that create meaningful and lasting benefits.
Please note that community councillors, local authority staff and elected members are not eligible to be panellists, in line with UK Government guidance.
If your organisation is considering applying to the Fund in the future, this does not prevent you from becoming a panel member, as any potential conflicts of interest will be managed through established conflict of interest procedures.
