North Argyll Carers Centre are recruiting for 3 positions:

Adult Carer Support Worker (12-Month Maternity Cover) – 30 Hours per Week

Based in Oban, you will be part of the Adult Carer Support Team, helping to deliver our drop-in support service at the Carers Centre and providing one-to-one support to adult carers across the local area. You will build trusted relationships with carers, helping them identify their needs and access the support available to them.

Alongside one-to-one support, you will support a range of groups, activities and events for carers. This includes supporting our Parkinson’s Group and helping to deliver activities and occasional outings that bring carers together and provide opportunities to relax and enjoy the company of others away from day-to-day pressures.

Adult and Parent Carer Support Worker – 37 Hours per Week

This role will focus primarily on supporting parent carers of children and young people with disabilities, additional support needs or long-term health conditions.

Alongside providing one-to-one support, you will work with colleagues to deliver our programme of activities, events and day trips for parent carers and their families, helping to create opportunities for parents and their children to have fun together, connect with others and enjoy new experiences.

You will also support the delivery of our monthly Family Meet-Up in Oban, held one Saturday each month. These welcoming sessions provide parent carers with an opportunity to spend time with others who understand their experiences while children enjoy games, soft play and activities, make friendships and have fun. Flexibility to work one Saturday each month is therefore essential.

Adult Carer Support Worker (Mull and Iona Outreach) – 37 Hours per Week

This role involves supporting adult carers across the Oban, Lorn and Isles area, helping them access information, services and practical support.

As part of the role, you will spend approximately two days each month on Mull, delivering our monthly group in Tobermory and providing face-to-face support to carers living on the islands. You will also support a range of activities and events for carers, both on the mainland and on Mull, helping them connect with others, share experiences and enjoy time away from the day-to-day pressures of their caring role.

This post would suit someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys community outreach work, building relationships and bringing people together, and is willing to travel regularly.
