Salary: This position is not remunerated. Trustees can, however, submit claims for pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses, such as travel to attend meetings.

Anam Cara Fasgadh is inviting applications from passionate, like minded individuals who would like to join our governance team.

This important role in the governance of the charity is vital in ensuring the work we do strategically and operationally meets the needs of those we support.

We are specifically seeking someone with the skills and abilities to focus on our fundraising activities and grant applications.

Who we are: Anam Cara Fasgadh is a Scottish registered charity based in Argyll.

What we do:

The core aim of Anam Cara Fasgadh is to gift respite accommodation, recreational activities and support to families who are bereaved through the death of a baby, child or young person.

Anam Cara Fasgadh’s first caravan, Poppy’s Place, is located in the tranquil family owned Tralee Bay Holiday Park, which nestles on a peaceful bay in Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland.

Our vision is to fund the purchase and running of luxury caravans or cabins throughout the country, providing safe havens of peace for bereaved families. We also host events which bring bereaved families together in remembrance of their child.

Anam Cara Fasgadh is delighted to work in partnership with companies, charities, organisations, groups and individuals to fulfill our aims and ambitions.

What you will be doing:

Anam Cara Fasgadh Trustees are responsible for the management and governance of th organisation. We are seeking to recruit passionate individuals into the role of charity trustee, where you will take part in shaping and directing the organisation and ensuring that it operates legally within the regulations set by the Charity Commission and OSCR.

What we are looking for:

We welcome applications from all individuals who feel they meet the criteria to fulfil the role. We would encourage applications from individuals who are from backgrounds not currently represented on our board as we seek to broaden the diversity of our trustees.

 You will need to be able to commit to attending Board Meetings 6 times a year, one of which will be in person and the rest via Zoom, plus an AGM and conference.
