Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis is a growing charity committed to supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse across Argyll and Bute, we have centres based in Dunoon, Oban, Rothesay, Helenburgh and Lochgilphead.

We are currently recruiting women from across Argyll and Bute to join our Board of Directors. Whether you have experience or are wanting to take the first step at Board level we want to hear from you.  As a Director you will:

  • Receive induction, training and reimbursable expenses
  • Contribute to the governance of ABRC, helping to lead its strategic direction.
  • Have a strong commitment to feminist governance and an understanding of gender based violence and its impacts.
  • Be committed to and passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and to the principles, aims, values and work of ABRC.

The expected time commitment is to attend four board meetings a year plus the AGM, one full development day and some ad hoc committee business and meetings can be hybrid and usually held in the early evening.
