Boosting energy levels for 2026

Happy and Healthy New Year to all

I am not sure If perhaps I am the only one who has felt since lockdown I have never really quite got into a routine which works totally, and finding all my energy goes into work, which is fine, but you also need energy for yourself and those you care about in your private life. I became really aware of this over the festive period when the laptop should have been away but amazing how many days were actually worked and I know I am not the only one who would have found themselves either drawn to work or thinking about it, especially where there may be additional challenges e.g. funding.
I created this reflective workbook for COPE https://www.copescotland.com/resources/getting-your-oomph-back-workbook I have decided I am going to revisit this and spend some time working through this myself and sharing the sections for anyone else who maybe wants to invest some time in finding a balance between what we invest in others and what we invest in ourselves. It should be noted, this is not a replacement for professional advice and if self reflection is not most helpful for you at this time then perhaps explore sharing how you are feeling with someone that you can talk to.
Starting Monday 19th of Jan I will be doing a weekly post on the different sections, access them or share as works best for you and those you know.
Hoping 2026 is kind and a gentle one, remember we all matter and we need to look after ourselves so we have the energy to keep being able to be there for others too. Our sector is amazing, never forget that and when we look out for each other, things may still be challenging, but it may hurt less!
