Comment on the proposed Rural Delivery Plan

The Scottish Government is consulting on a plan setting out how they will deliver for Scotland’s rural communities. It will act as a framework to consider the full breadth of policy delivery in rural Scotland and it is an opportunity to bring together often siloed areas of interest and consider what is happening holistically.

Many of the challenges we face in our remote, rural and island communities stem from deep, systemic and historic trends and issues. For instance our cost of living is higher, affordable housing is a hard to come by, our young people often leave for work and education, public services can be constrained by an inability to operate economies of scale and some large scale business sectors are extractive in nature and take out more than they contribute to our economy and communities.

If you share that view then please take 20 minutes to influence the direction of the Rural Delivery Plan by completing this survey. The deadline is 17th March 2025.
