Community Justice Scotland Launches 2025–26 Workshop Series

Community Justice Scotland (CJS) has announced a new programme of online workshops for 2025–26, offering partners and stakeholders across Argyll and Bute the chance to explore key themes in community justice and share best practice.
The free sessions will run from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM and are designed to support both national and local outcomes by providing space for learning, discussion, and collaboration.

Learn how Scottish Government data can support improvement planning and annual reporting. -
Thursday 25 September 2025 – Employability
Co-delivered with employability partners, this session explores the role of employment in community justice. -
Thursday 27 November 2025 – Unpaid Work
Led by James Murphy, with discussion on local delivery, challenges, and practice-sharing. -
Thursday 18 December 2025 – Housing (SHORE Standards)
Focused on housing and reintegration. -
Tuesday 20 January 2026 – Electronic Monitoring
Practical insights and local experiences of EM in community justice. -
Tuesday 24 February 2026 – Tech Innovation in Community Justice
Exploring how digital tools are transforming practice. -
Wednesday 26 March 2026 – Human Rights-Based Approach
Applying rights-based frameworks with examples from across sectors. -
Thursday 30 April 2026 – Partnership Engagement
A look at the roles of statutory partners and how collaboration supports improvement.
Following each workshop, a report will be prepared outlining key discussion points and actions, helping partners reflect and apply learning in their local areas.
