Sandbank Volunteer Fair

Event information

Date: 20 September 2025

Time: 10am - 12noon

Type: Exhibition

From the top of the Holy Loch, through Sandhaven – along the shore road houses and areas including Broxwood, McKinlays Quay, Finbracken – and through the village itself with the Marina, Ardnadam and Lazaretto Point… Sandbank has a great community of all ages and abilities.

As well as local businesses in the village and industrial estate, Sandbank boasts an array of active community organisations and charities. These groups are at the heart of the village’s social and regeneration activities – and on the morning of Saturday 20th September 2025, they will be getting together for a Volunteer Fair at Sandbank Village Hall, supported by Argyll and Bute Third Sector Interface.

Local residents are warmly invited to come and find out what’s happening on the doorstep – and discover the skills that community groups need, in order to keep doing what they do. Could it be that an hour of your time, just now and then, will be the key to keeping a local charity going? And in return, that occasional rewarding hour might lead to new friendships and connections.

Volunteering can improve wellbeing, offer alternative forms of exercise and improve community resilience. So come along and find out what’s happening in Sandbank! The event is free – and there will be refreshments and activities for kids to enjoy.

If you represent an organisation that would like to book a table at the event, please contact Sandbank Community Development Trust at: [email protected]
