Finance Adviser to the Board (Paid)
It is no secret that many charities are struggling to recruit trustees with formal strategic financial expertise. The TSI is unfortunately no different and since our last Treasurer sadly died in August 2023 we have been unable to fill that role despite numerous attempts.
Our committed and passionate Board of five is now looking to try something different and wants to pay an experienced Finance Adviser whose role it would be to give them independent advice on strategic financial matters. This is part of ensuring there is a check and balance – we have advice from our Executive Team, our accountants and our auditors but we are missing that expertise at board level. As the role is paid the Finance Adviser would be non-voting.
All meetings can be remotely attended and there are about five meetings a year of two hours each with up to two hours preparation which will be paid as well.
