Funders Fayre updated format – Oban, 20th March 2024
Next week’s Funders Fayre (20th March 2024, Rockfield Centre, 11am) has proven to be very popular with over 70 sign ups and a waiting list to attend. Given the popularity and to maximise the number of people who can access the funders we have moved away from a drop in session with stalls only to a slightly more structured event.
The day will open at 11am and we will have two spotlight sessions from The Robertson Trust and the National Lottery Community Fund. We will then have a panel session on building a fundraising strategy and top tips with the Chair of the Scottish Chartered Institute of Fundraising and the CEO of Culture and Business Scotland.
Before and after lunch we will have two sessions of funder table discussions where small groups will have dedicated time with each of the funders present.
Really pleased that we now have representation from the following funders:

- Foundation Scotland
- National Lottery
- The Heart of the Community Fund
- Age Scotland
- People’s Postcode
- The Robertson Trust
- Creative Scotland
Over the coming months we will be looking to repeat this event in other parts of Argyll and Bute as clearly there is a great deal of demand for funding advice and support. A clear indication perhaps of the pressure in the funding environment as public sector grants come under pressure at the same time as community needs are increasing.
