Join the Board of Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis

Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis (ABRC) is seeking new women from across the region to join its Board of Directors.
ABRC is a growing charity committed to supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse across Argyll and Bute, with centres in Dunoon, Oban, Rothesay, Helensburgh and Lochgilphead.
The organisation plays a vital role in providing specialist support to survivors and in raising awareness of sexual violence across communities.
About the Role
As a Director, you will:

Receive induction, training, and reimbursable expenses

Contribute to the governance of ABRC, helping to lead its strategic direction

Commit to feminist governance and an understanding of gender-based violence

Be passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and upholding ABRC’s aims and values
The expected time commitment is four Board meetings per year plus the AGM, one full development day, and occasional ad hoc committee work. Meetings are usually hybrid and held in the early evening.
