Trustees Wanted: Visual and Hearing Impairment Mid Argyll

Visual and Hearing Impairment Mid Argyll is a small but dedicated community group working to support people living with sight and hearing impairment in the local area. The group offers connection, understanding, and practical help but now they are looking for new volunteers to take on key roles and increase the resources and support the group can offer.
The group is currently seeking a Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary. These roles are central to keeping the group organised, sustainable, and able to offer more resources and activities for local people who need support.
Why get involved?
Volunteering with a community group is more than just giving up your time. It’s a chance to make a real difference. By helping to guide and strengthen Visual and Hearing Impairment Mid Argyll, you’ll be directly contributing to the wellbeing of people who might otherwise feel isolated or unsupported.
It can also be personally rewarding. Volunteering is a great way to:
- Learn new skills or build on existing ones
- Gain valuable experience in community leadership and organisation
- Meet new people and be part of something meaningful
- Know that your efforts are having a positive impact on people’s lives

The roles
- Chairperson: helping to lead the group and support its vision for the future
- Treasurer: managing finances and ensuring funds are well looked after
- Secretary: keeping the group organised through meetings, minutes, and communication
No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to get involved, learn, and support the community.
