Volunteer of the Year Awards 2026 Finalists Announced

The wait is over! We are delighted to announce the finalists for the Argyll and Bute Volunteer of the Year Awards 2026.

Once again, communities across Argyll and Bute have shown the incredible impact volunteers make every single day. This year we received 189 nominations, sharing inspiring stories of kindness, dedication and commitment from individuals, groups and organisations throughout the region.

Our judging panel had the difficult task of selecting this year’s finalists from so many deserving nominations, and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to recognise someone making a difference.

The winners will be announced at our awards ceremony on:

Friday 26th June 2026
Queen’s Hall, Dunoon

This year’s event will celebrate not only the achievements of our amazing volunteers but will also shine a spotlight on sustainability across Argyll and Bute.

We are delighted to have Argyll and Bute Community Planning Partnership joining us as our 2026 Sustainability Theme Partner, supporting our aim to highlight the organisations, volunteers and community groups creating positive change for the future.

We would also like to thank our fantastic award sponsors for helping us celebrate volunteering across Argyll and Bute:

  • Bòrd na Gàidhlig – Gaelic Volunteer sponsor
  • Argyll and Bute HSCP – Health & Wellbeing volunteer sponsor
  • ACHA – Sustainability Champion Volunteer sponsor
