Weaving Connections

We have been delighted to work with the Snowdrop Centre in Lochgilphead on a number of ideas over the years.  We are also members of the Q community,  a large and vibrant membership community for people working to improve health and care across the UK and Ireland https://q.health.org.uk/  We are also active partners with colleagues at GCVS in Glasgow.

We attended a Network Weaving Learning series offered by Q and when the learning series ended and following further development of  tools and resources to support Network and Network leaders, which can be found here https://www.copescotland.com/resources?category=Creating%20Intentional%20Networks . It became clear that having a focus on a specific area could greatly enhance the collaborative use of the Network Weaving tools.

Selecting an area, rich with networks, geographic communities, and engaged stakeholders, promised a fertile ground for such an endeavour. Mid Argyll, Kintyre, and the Islands was considered as an ideal location to explore this further. Conversations began with some colleagues, and enthusiasm for this initiative was palpable and there was an interest in taking the next step.

COPE Scotland, leading the facilitation, already had established ties with the Snow Drop Centre in Lochgilphead. Seizing the momentum and with signs of early support for the idea, they applied to the Supporting Q Connections fund from the Health Foundation to secure resources to help connect with more partners, groups and stakeholders. Their aim was to help build connections and delve deeper into the possibilities and to share the insights gained in a way that is useful to existing work.

The aim of this work is to offer something additional to what is already there and not to duplicate the amazing work already happening. If you are interested in this piece of work or would like to know more, please contact me [email protected]

In these challenging times, it feels we need each other more than ever to ensure as good a quality of life for those we serve wherever that may be in Scotland.

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for reading. I will post the date of the next meet up in the events page. Please feel free to visit our website, there are many resources to support health and wellbeing free to download

Kind regards

Hilda
