Have Your Say: Argyll and Kintyre 275kV Local Fund

A new £3.2 million Argyll and Kintyre 275kV Local Fund is being launched by SSEN Transmission to support communities situated close to new transmission infrastructure across Argyll and Kintyre.

This is the first local fund designed in line with UK Government Guidance on Community Funds for Transmission Infrastructure (March 2025), ensuring communities have a strong voice in how the funding is structured, prioritised, and delivered.

Community Engagement – September 2025

SSEN Transmission is holding a series of drop-in sessions and online events between 8–19 September 2025 in Dalmally, Lochgilphead, Tarbert, Carradale, and Inveraray, as well as two online sessions.

These sessions will explore:

  • Area of benefit – where the funding should be available

  • Priorities – what matters most to your community

  • Structure – how the fund should be managed and distributed
