New Round of Seed Funding to Support Community-Led Climate Action in Argyll and Bute

Applications are now open for Round 6 of the Argyll and Bute Climate Action Network (ABCAN) Seed Fund, running from 4th July to 11th August 2025.

Supported by the Scottish Government, this funding round provides small-scale grants to help communities across Argyll and Bute respond to the realities of climate change. Local organisations can apply for up to £250 or between £251 and £1,000 to kick-start or grow climate-focused initiatives.

ABCAN exists to give voice to grassroots climate action, helping local people build resilience, improve awareness, and take meaningful steps toward a fairer, greener, more sustainable Argyll and Bute.

Eligible projects should aim to:

  • Raise awareness of climate change and its effects

  • Build partnerships between groups

  • Support community-led climate action

  • Amplify the local voice in climate conversations

  • Promote sustainability and equity

Community councils, voluntary groups, charities, CICs and other local organisations can apply. Schools cannot apply directly but are encouraged to partner with community groups.
